It’s been reported that the Dallas Mavericks will be heading to Mexico sometime this upcoming season. They will take on the Phoenix Suns in Mexico City and will be the road team, so don’t worry Mavericks fans. You still get 41 home games.
There is no date set as of yet, but it’s no shocker that another NBA game is taking place outside of the United States. The NBA has stressed over the last 20 years the importance of expanding the NBA and making more of a global organization. With the emergence of overseas talent over the years, the NBA will continue to look for more opportunities.
The Mavericks have already appeared in several international games, and one of them was in Mexico City for a pre-season game in which former Maverick Eduardo Najera played in.
