FRISCO, Texas–FC Dallas used a pair of goals within 90 seconds of each other in the first nine minutes of the match to defeat Tim Howard and the Colorado Rapids 2-0 at Toyota Stadium on Wednesday night. FCD snapped a 10-game winless streak with goals from Maynor Figueroa and Roland Lamah to move to 10-9-11 on the season. With 41 points, FC Dallas is currently sixth in the Western Conference table as they look to keep their slim playoff hopes alive after recording their first victory since July 22.
