Former Mavericks forward Charlie Villanueva has toilet stolen from Dallas home

Hide yo kids, hide yo wife because people out in Dallas are apparently stealing—toilets.

That’s according to former Dallas Mavericks forward Charlie Villanueva, where the former UNCONN Huskies star took to Twitter in a rant regarding a bizarre heist of the dumper from his Dallas-area home.

Villanueva, the 7th overall pick by the Toronto Raptors in 2005, spent two seasons with the Dallas Mavericks, averaging 5.7 points and 2.4 rebounds while shooting 49 percent including 40 percent from beyond the arc in 126 games played. His best statistical season came in 2006 when he averaged 16.2 points and 6.7 rebounds, helping him land him a five-year, $40 million contract with the Detroit Pistons.

In his time with the Mavs, Villanueva can best be described as humbly confident. He had a certain sense of joyfulness that radiated with everything he did and his perseverance and commitment were unmatched. In the locker room, before the game and during the Mavs shoot around, his positive attitude and presence provides the type of leadership-by-example that the Mavs greatly needed.

Villanueva, 33, is currently a free agent.

If you have any information regarding the whereabouts of Charlie’s toilet contact the Dallas Police Department at 1-877-373-TIPS.
