MITB Preview: Nikki Cross Replaces Alexa Bliss

Money in the Bank... one of the most exciting PPV’s in WWE takes place tonight from Hartford, Connecticut. The 10th annual event features the “Money in the Bank” match in which the winner receives a contract good for 1 year to challenge the WWE champion to a title match at any given time. The rules are… well, there are no rules. Climb a ladder and retrieve a briefcase with the contract in it. Sounds simple, right? Not if you’re in there with seven other competitors.

The match will feature four superstars from RAW and four from Smackdown. Every man for himself. Eight superstars, one goal, and a golden opportunity. There will be a men’s match as well as a women’s match. The men’s will feature Andrade, Ricochet, Drew McItyre, Finn Balor, Sami Zayn, Baron Corbin, Ali, and Randy Orton.

As for the women… WWE broke the news this week that Alexa Bliss is injured and will not be medically cleared to compete, therefore being replaced by newcomer Nikki Cross. Nikki has not had a lot of TV time since her debut on the scene. Tonight could be her lucky night if she can capture the contract in which she will have one year to decide when to ‘cash in’ for the grand prize. However, she will have to beat one others to do so, including Ember Moon, Mandy, Dana Brooke, Bayley, Natalya, Naomi, and Carmella. Who has what it takes to outlast everyone else and possibly reign as the next Women’s Champion in the near future? Money in the Bank kicks off at 6 p.m. CSTon the WWE Network. Below are the other matches taking place:

Seth Rollins(c) vs AJ Styles (WWE Championship Match)

Kofi Kingston(c) vs Kevin Owens (WWE Championship Match)

Becky Lynch(c) vs Lacey Evans (RAW Women’s Championship Match)

Becky Lynch(c) vs Charlotte Flair (Smackdown Women’s Championship Match)
