Rangers broadcaster CJ Nitkowski discusses the possible routes to a 2020 season

On Monday, I had the chance to catch up with Rangers’ TV Color Commentator, CJ Nitkowski. He is entering his fourth season in the booth covering the Rangers alongside Dave Raymond, Tom Grieve, and Emily Jones. Previously, CJ worked as a studio analyst and color commentator for FOX and FOX Sports 1. Nitkowski spent two seasons with the Rangers (2002-2003). Here are a few of the topics discussed on Monday.

  • Is a 2020 season likely?
  • The effects of the health protocols players will adjust to and the lack of fans in the stands
  • The positives from 2019
  • Rangers’ rotation upgrades and the health of Corey Kluber
  • Spring Training Standout
  • How analytics may affect the 2020 season

Just because there’s no Rangers’ baseball, yet, doesn’t mean you can’t hear CJ Nitkowski talk about baseball. Catch CJ on the Leadoff Spot with former GM Steve Phillips and ESPN broadcaster Eduardo Perez weekday mornings. You can also listen to CJ on Saturday mornings on Loud Outs with Rockies’ color commentator Ryan Spilborghs. Check out live streams and their podcast, One Man’s Trash on the Spilly and CJ YouTube page.
