As seen on RAW last night, CEO Vince McMahon kicked off RAW before being interrupted by Roman Reigns, Daniel Bryan, and Kofi Kingston who all belong to Smackdown. This soon lead to Vince announcing a new “wild card” rule, where 3 members of RAW can show up on Smackdown, and 3 members of Smackdown can show up on RAW at any given time. But what does this accomplish? Doesn’t this defeat the purpose of the annual Superstar Shakeup they hold after Wrestlemania?

Many fans let out their opinion on this new wild card rule on twitter and seemed to cause some confusion. According to WWE.COM, this does not mean that the brand split will end. However, if ‘unauthorized’ superstars appear on the opposite show they are branded to, there would be punishment up to termination.
