Wesley Matthews Hosts the 2017-2018 Winter Warm-Up Drive

As part of the NBA Season of Giving, Wesley Matthews and the Dallas Mavericks, in partnership with Raising Cane’s and FOX Sports Southwest, are challenging fans to donate new and gently used coats, blankets and other winter items for families in need with the 2017 Winter Warm-Up Drive

“It’s a priority for me to give back to the Dallas community that supports us every night, especially during the holidays,” Matthews said.  “There are so many people in need and every little bit helps.  So bring your coats, your blankets, your hats and we can make a difference together.”

The Winter Warm-Up Drive takes place from now until the 22nd with a collection of items at all Dallas/Fort Worth Raising Cane’s locations.  Donors who bring an item to any Raising Cane’s location will receive a free 22 oz. drink.  All Winter Warm-Up donations will be donated to families in need at Dallas LIFE, a homeless shelter providing food, shelter, clothing, education and recovery programs for individuals to find a path out of homelessness.

On Tuesday, December 19th, Wesley Matthews will greet fans who bring donations at 3 Raising Cane’s locations:

· STOP 1 (5:00pm) : Raising Cane’s Chicken Fingers, 2255 West Northwest Highway, Dallas, TX 75220
· STOP 2 (5:50pm): Raising Cane’s Chicken Fingers, 5030 Greenville Ave, Dallas, TX 75206
· STOP 3 (6:35pm): Raising Cane’s Chicken Fingers, 7345 Gaston Ave, Dallas, TX 75214

Donated items can include: new or gently used coats, blankets, hats, scarves, warm weather clothing and NEW socks.  For more information, visit Mavs.com/WinterWarmUp.

Throughout NBA Cares Season of Giving, the NBA and its teams and players are out in their communities hosting hundreds of charitable events across the country in an effort to brighten the holidays for thousands of children and families. #SeasonOfGiving @NBACares
