Ranking these Cowboys Isolation homes

My favorite thing that social media has come up with since sports went away from us is “Pick one isolation home” featuring some franchises most notable players. Below is the Cowboys version of that and I will rank these houses.

House one: Tony Romo, Ezekiel Elliott, Demarcus Ware, Sean Lee and Ed “too tall” Jones.

House two: Troy Aikman, Jason Witten, Demarcus Lawrence, Tyron Smith and Tony Dorsett.

House three: Dak Prescott, Michael Irvin, Dez Bryant, Deion Sanders and Bob Lilly.

House four: Emmitt Smith, Jerry Jones, Roger Staubach, Zack Martin and Drew Pearson.

Three factors in deciding which house I am choosing.

  1. Most likely to have a good time with / entertainment
  2. Good conversations/stories
  3. Long term business opportunities

NUMBER ONE

The number one seed has to be house three.

House members: Dak Prescott, Michael Irvin, Dez Bryant, Deion Sanders and Bob Lilly.

Irvin and Deion alone. The trash talk between those two would provide enough entertainment to carry you through most days.

When you needed to get way from the loudness that comes with Irvin and Deion being in the same room, I would go over to Dak and talk about his approach to getting endorsements.

Then, when I got bored talking to Dak about yogurt, I would go chill with Dez to play video games and hope he hasn’t been hanging around too many people and brought “the Rona” into the house.

After that, I would go over to Lilly and pick his brain about football and his playing days since I was not around for those.

NUMBER TWO

The number two seed would be house number four.

House members: Emmitt Smith, Jerry Jones, Roger Staubach, Zack Martin and Drew Pearson.

Jerry is the number one seed of all people because I know Jerry is coming with the drinks and story telling. Also, I know he’s coming with creative business plans.

There is also plenty of wholesome in this house with Emmitt Smith, Roger Staubach, Zack Martin and Drew Pearson. With Emmitt, he used to run around with Irvin all the time but was never caught in the middle of the trouble because he went out the opposite way of the trouble when it was time.

NUMBER THREE

The number three seed is house number one.

House members: Tony Romo, Ezekiel Elliott, Demarcus Ware, Sean Lee and Ed “too tall” Jones.

Everyone knows that Ezekiel Elliott is down to party during any time. You can also get on the gaming systems with him.

I would also be spending a lot of time with Romo because he’s mastered the media game so it would be cool to pick his brain.

Whenever you were over the partying and wanted to get your wholesome time in, you have Demarcus Ware and Sean Lee there. I imagine Lee sitting in a room with a tablet, laptop and TV watching film.

It would be cool to talk to Ed “Too tall” Jones about his journey about starting with football, then going to boxing then back to football.

NUMBER FOUR

Alright, my final house is house number two.

House members: Troy Aikman, Jason Witten, Demarcus Lawrence, Tyron Smith and Tony Dorsett.

This house sounds like the most boring house outside of Demarcus Lawrence and I think I would get tired of having “Tank” sell me “Hot Boyz” merchandise.

Tyron Smith isn’t known as the most vocal guy in Cowboys history so I don’t see me connecting with him.

I think Troy would be the best of this group to talk about his 90s teams, his thoughts about the debate about him and Romo, how is Joe Buck as a teammate and his place in the media industry.

Talking football with Tony Dorsett would be great too. My main objective would be getting to the bottom of the rift between him and Tom Landry would be fascinating. Dorsett has said that he would be the all time leading rusher if he was given the ball more.

Then there’s Jason Witten. He’s in the same category as Lee to me and I think he would be in the house telling me what to do constantly. I would love to hear about him talk about if he feels that he was set up to fail in the Monday Night Football both.
